About the ranch
Horses, family, and life along the river.
Simmons Quarter Horses is Brandee Simmons' ranch along the Nanaimo River. It's a family-run western operation — lessons, trail rides, breeding, and boarding — and it's been Brandee's everyday life for as long as she can remember.

Who runs it
Brandee Simmons.
Brandee has been around horses her whole life — she grew up in the saddle and has been running her own program for decades. She breeds, trains, teaches, and still handles most of the group lessons herself.
On any given week the ranch is running lessons, trail rides, training sessions, and barrel nights in the arena. Brandee's usually in the middle of it, with a small team of trainers and staff helping keep everything moving.
The horses are the reason people keep coming back. Most are raised right on the property — handled from the start, matched thoughtfully to their riders, and worked enough to stay calm and steady through whatever the day brings.
